Go LIVE for Emmaus! | Emmaus Homes

Calling All Presenters: Do you have a special talent or skill that would be interesting to show off? Let us know!

With many of the women and men of Emmaus staying home during these times of uncertainty, we are looking for ways to entertain and engage them through our social media outlet, Facebook. We are looking for volunteers who will be able to provide a class or lesson in a variety of areas. These areas may include cooking, live music, yoga, meditation, drawing, or whatever your special talent may be! Anyone seeking to volunteer to be a presenter must have access to a smart device to host a live event that Emmaus can share as a “live contributor” on Facebook. We also ask that the volunteer have access to all supplies needed for their show. It is ideal that some areas (drawing or cooking), clients could do in their home that day or follow along with.

We are looking at holding one Live video per day at 11am from wherever the guest presenter is available (just another way to practice social distancing)! Ideally, each Facebook Live video will last 30minutes – 1 hour.

If you are tech savvy enough to record a Facebook Live and you have a special skill, let us know! We want you to participate!

We have had our first week of Facebook Live events and everyone loved them. We received great feedback stating that the entertainment helped lift many spirits and brighten everyone’s day. We would like to send a huge thank you to those who have already volunteered and to those who would be interested in volunteering!
