St. Charles, MO April 27 – Emmaus Homes announced today an increase in starting salary up to $15 for full-time and part-time Direct Support Professionals. Direct Support Professionals provide a wide variety of services to adults with developmental disabilities served by Emmaus.
The wage increase will be available to employees who work in geographically targeted homes located in Emmaus’ service region west of Highway 79, including western St. Charles County, Warren County and Franklin County. Increased wages will also be available to employees who work with clients that have more intensive service needs. The new wage differentials are effective May 9 and will be available to both new and current employees.
“Like other service providers, we are challenged to recruit and retain direct support professionals necessary to serve our clients, especially in our western service area and with clients who need more intensive supports,” said Cindy Clark, President and CEO of Emmaus Homes. “We are excited about this new wage structure.”
