How You Helped in 2020 ❤ | Emmaus Homes

Before tossing 2020 away, we wanted to take a moment and reflect on some of the incredible memories you’ve helped create.  These are only a few snapshots of the thousands of activities you make happen every single day.

You are the light in their darkness and the joy in the midst of the chaos. You are the reason Emmaus is strong and making a difference.

Among countless special moments, here are our Top 10 Favorites:

Helping John Walk Again

15 years ago, John was told he wouldn’t be able to walk again. Today, with the help of our Direct Support Professionals and generous donors like you, John can now walk again.

Partying

With your support, we were able to collect and distribute Party Kits to EVERY Emmaus home! That’s over 70 party kits, 100 pizzas with desserts, and countless smiles that you can see for yourself. ❤️🎉

#FillTheVan

We asked. You answered. You filled the van to help keep our clients and team members healthy and safe through the pandemic. You gave over 2,200 critical household goods and PPE equipment.

Facebook Live

Thank you for generously volunteering your time and talents to host 40+ hours of live video consisting of recipes, games, concerts, challenges, and more!

Let Us

It was an election year… and Emmaus’ very own Direct Support Lead, Ebony, promoted why #MODisabilityVotes for inclusion through her poem, “Let Us”.

Working With The Best

DSPs were recognized for demonstrating consistent dedication and frequently going above and beyond their typical day to day responsibilities.

Most Sucessful #GivingTuesday… EVER

We surpassed our goal AND raised the most we ever have on #GivingTuesday.  You helped spread the word, created fundraisers, and showed up to raise $20k+!

Emmaus on TV!

Your support landed Emmaus as a feature with Tim Ezell on The Thread STL. The episode aired in November and stars many familiar faces.

Sustaining Health & Hope

The fighting spirit of Laura helped her get through a terrible situation when Laura was diagnosed with COVID-19. With the help of Emmaus team members, Laura’s growth since then has been substantial!
