Lisa Key - Emmaus Homes

When Did You Start At Emmaus?
I joined the organization in January 2008.

What Originally Made You Want to Work For Emmaus?
For me, it felt much like coming full circle in my career. I was raised in the United Church of Christ and grew up learning about the mission of Emmaus. I have spent my entire professional career working for non-profit organizations and knew about the great reputation Emmaus enjoys.

What Has Been Your Most Memorable Moment at Emmaus?
One of the most defining moments was transitioning our clients from the campus to the community. Our clients live in beautiful homes, in a community that they chose, and are absolutely thriving.

This year has been remarkable too, as we welcomed more than 40 new clients and 100 team members!

Over the past decade, Emmaus has undergone a transformationWhat has not changed is our unwavering commitment to providing high-quality services for our clients.

What’s One Thing You’re Looking Forward to for the Future of Emmaus?
As our donors age, many of them are interested in making a legacy gift to ensure our continued success. I love meeting with families and helping them craft a plan to meet their charitable goals.

Are You Involved in Anything Outside of Emmaus?
My husband and I are new grandparents and really enjoy spoiling our grandkids! We love spending time together and enjoy family vacations at the lake. My son is an EMT/Firefighter in southwest Florida, and we travel often to see him, too.

I serve on a couple of community boards that I enjoy very much, and also volunteer at my local UCC church.
