Emmaus Offering New Starting Wages | Emmaus Homes

Emmaus shared a historic announcement last week about an increase in starting salary of up to $18/hour for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). DSPs provide a wide variety of essential services to adults with developmental disabilities served by Emmaus.

Funding from the Missouri Legislature was created to address the crisis in the direct support workforce across the state. Emmaus has committed these funds to invest in wage increases for direct support professionals.

We are thrilled that our elected officials recognize the impact that direct support professionals have in the workforce,” said Cindy Clark, President, and CEO at Emmaus. “We hope increased wages will help us both stabilize our workforce and attract new employees.

The wage increase will be available to all employees and offers an opportunity for frontline workers to earn more than $20/hour in their first year. The new wage increase is effective May 22 and will be available to both new and current employees.

Emmaus Homes is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to adults with developmental disabilities. With more than 50 homes in the St. Louis metropolitan area, including Warren and Franklin counties, Emmaus provides services to more than 200 clients.
