Empowering Lives.
Every Day.
At Emmaus Homes, we believe adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities deserve the opportunity to live independently, belong in community, and shape their own futures.
That belief drives everything we do
For more than 130 years, Emmaus has delivered compassionate, faith-inspired support that helps people thrive—at home, in their neighborhoods, and in their lives.

How we serve in St. Louis
Every service at Emmaus is built to support independence, inclusion, and self-advocacy—with a deep commitment to dignity, respect, and person-centered support.
Residential Services
At Emmaus Homes, we believe everyone deserves a safe, supportive place to call home. Our Residential Services empower adults with developmental disabilities to live with dignity, independence, and belonging—whether that means thriving in a shared home with 24/7 support or being welcomed into a family-like setting with a trusted provider.
Supported Living
A place to call home—with support built around you.
Adults with disabilities live in homes with 24/7 support from trained Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), who help build skills, routines, and confidence in everyday life.
Shared Living / Host Homes
Live with a host provider in a family-like setting.
In this personalized model, individuals live with a trusted person or family in their home—matched for compatibility, lifestyle, and mutual support.
Adaptive Solutions
Creating more accessible living spaces.
Through inclusive home designs and modifications, adaptive tools, and enabling technologies, Adaptive Solutions empowers individuals to live more independently in homes tailored to their needs.
The Learning Lab at Emmaus
A hub for learning, collaboration, and innovation.
The Learning Lab offers certification courses, professional development, and rental space—expanding access to specialized training programs and strengthening our community.
Advocacy in Everything We Do
It’s not a side effort. Advocacy is at the heart of how we serve.
We speak up, show up, and stand with adults with disabilities to build a world that’s more just, more inclusive, and more accessible. Whether it’s training DSPs, helping someone access community services, or engaging lawmakers, we advocate at every level—because that’s how true change happens.
